About the Artist

Mélina Zauber is a French-born actress, descending from a Czech musician family. From her early years, she studied dance, piano, and painting. She lived in Ireland, where she attended the Gaiety School of Acting, and then returned to France to study at the conservatoire. Her work in photography is scarce and unique, as she incorporates her acting knowledge into her pictorial work. Influenced by choreographers such as Martha Graham and writers like Clarissa Pinkola Estes (Women Who Run With the Wolves), she sets up an exhibition that highlights the boundaries between women's bodies and nature, while simultaneously showcasing a strong self-portrait effort.

Nature and femininity are united, essentials to life. "Naked Nature" argues for the respect of both women and nature, which are, in essence, one and the same.
